Support Squad Weekly Wrapup
We’ve had an awesome week and put through many updates to fix some of the issues we’ve ran into. Over the past few weeks we’ve been looking at options to overcome the issues that Facebook’s secure browser has caused. We are are looking at offering a paid secure hosting service and we really need to know how many of you are interested in it. Please vote at our support forums. Do you want us to provide a paid secure hosting service?
Big Announcement for Developers and Affiliates:

The biggest change you may notices is that we’ve decided to change the way our branding displays on pages. The main reason for this is we’ve had many developers causing our branding to show up on their pages and we found ourselves removing it again and again. We’ve decided to remove the branding at the bottom of all pages. We will be creating new app icons with the IFE branding for non developers and making a generic app icon for the developers.
What does this mean for affiliates? Your referral links have always been automatically added to the link at the bottom of your page. Now that the link is gone you will need to add it in manually. You can find banners, icons, and logos to use along with your affiliate links at http://www.hubze.biz/evp/?seed=affiliateupdate5-30 . If you have any questions about the affiliate program or issues finding your links email us at affiliate@hubze.com.
Facebook showing a blank page before being “Liked.”

We’ve been getting reports of pages showing a blank page if you’re not using a reveal tab. We haven’t been able to reproduce the issue but we are still looking for a solution. We think the app sometimes treats the page as if it had a reveal tab even though it does not. A workaround for this is adding a reveal tab to your page and then deleting it. We have not had any reports of people running into the issue a second time after preforming this workaround.
Facebook connection bug:

We’ve been running into an issue when trying to log into our iFame engine. When the Facebook login icon is clicked either a popup window flashes up and then instantly goes away or nothing happens. This Facebook bug seems to effect IE users more than others. We recommend using Chrome to edit your pages though we’ve also ran into the issue in Chrome as well. If you run into this issue log into your Facebook personal profile first and then try to access your pages again. This time after clicking the login button refresh the browser and it should update and ask you to connect to the Facebook app and let you into your pages.
Templates getting stuck on the saving screen:

This is a repost from last week as we are still looking into fixing the issue. This bug is caused by using the source code in the text boxes within the template. We are still trying to pinpoint the issue and fix it. At the moment it will be best if you try not to use the source code portion of the text boxes on your templates. When you run into this error if you refresh the page it will unfreeze and allow you to keep editing the page although anything unsaved will be lost.
Facebook Comments Module is displaying an error message:

This is a repost from last week. We’ve been getting reports that our FB comments module is displaying an error message. We are currently looking into this issue and will let you know once we find a resolution.
That wraps things up for this week.

Hi, I'm wondering if the Hubze application has a viral "auto-responder" component, whereby, someone comes to your fanpage, they are presented with "grant access" dialogue, and when the visitor clicks on it the app will automatically post to their wall, send them an email from you, and also send you an email notifying you of their action WITH their email included. I've seen this on another app and it's sweet cuz now I also get their email address along with their "liking"...
Thanks,
Rob C
