Mobile apps are all the rage right now. With close to a billion apps available on the Android Market and the Apple App Store combined, it is going to be difficult to know which are the best. Combine that with the bevy of web-based and social apps, and it get more and more confusing. The 2012 Appy Awards aims to sift through the clutter and name the best app.
The Appy Awards were created to train the spotlight on extraordinary apps, no matter what the platform, device or format being used. The only distinction are the categories: Games, Health and Fitness, News, Social Networking, Photography, among others.
The Appy Awards is also presented by MediaPost Communications, an integrated publishing and content company.
